How can I better combine my liberal arts background with my computer background?
Depends which liberal arts interests you have...
Look into industries that match your interests I would say is the best way. If you are an artist, look into using software/hardware in your art. Get into the game industry?

Figure out where people with similar liberal arts interests are going in terms of online media. Can you potentially work on something there? Web stuff for the History Channel? IT for a library?

Consider becoming a designer. If you are more interested in the aesthetics of creative expression visual design might be a good fit. If you are more interested in the more functional, human interaction aspect of design, consider user experience design.
